What happens when you can’t be home or at your business when a delivery arrives?
- Valuable items may be left outside, vulnerable to weather, animals, or even theft.
- If an adult signature is required, you’ll return to find a note instead of your package.
Pick up your packages at your convenience – it’s easy! Just have your packages sent to you at The Shipping Place and we will sign for them (if necessary) and keep them safe until you arrive.
Package Receiving Specialists – UPS, FedEx, DHL, and tractor trailer companies will all deliver your items to The Shipping Place. We’ll even accept pallets for you!

When your item(s) arrive, we will call to let you know they’re available for you to pick up.
We ask that you call 845-483-7447 or email us shipit@shippingplace.com in advance so we’ll know to expect your package(s). Since this may not always be possible for you, please be sure to include your name and phone number as indicated above so we can contact you. If we cannot reach you, we will have no choice but to return your item(s) to the shipper.
The charge for this service is only $5 per package and $45 per pallet. For packages over 50 pounds we charge $10 per package.
We request you personally pick up your own packages. Your identity will be verified by checking a valid photo ID and the tracking number provided to you by the shipper. Please call us if different arrangements are needed.
A Storage fee of $5.00 per week per box will be charged for items held over seven days.
Storage of freight shipments is free the first day and will be charged $10.00 per day after the first day.
Please note that we cannot receive US Mail or USPS packages for you unless you have a personal mailbox or Virtual mailbox at our store.
